Your first ride with the ORTHOSCOOT
®
NH1
Basics
Because of their construction, tricycles tend to tip more easily than vehicles with four wheels.
The taller the person, the higher the center of gravity, which means that it is much easier that the ORTHOSCOOT
®
may tip in case of increased speed, in particular if the curve radius is tight.
Take all the time you need to become acquainted with your ORTHOSCOOT
®
NH1 in a safe operation. Before dri-
ving it in public, get used to its drivability and braking response.
Always drive carefully and cautiously. Acquire a defensive style of driving and absolutely avoid hasty maneuvers
of any kind. Now you move a vehicle and therefore bear a greater responsibility. Despite your new mobility please
always keep in mind your physical restriction and act according to the circumstances.
ATTENTION:
The ORTHOSCOOT
®
is not a piece of sports equipment and not designed for high speed riding. Do
not run at steep incline and don´t get pulled from other vehicles. The ORTHOSCOOT
®
is not designed to stunt or
any freestyle activities.
Mobility
Place the knee of the leg with the handicapped foot
on the kneepad. Use your healthy foot to kick-off
forward and commence motion.
ATTENTION:
The more you place your knee for-
ward-facing, the more tilt-proof your ORTHOSCOOT
®
will be, in particular if the curve radius is tight.
