Updating or Reinstalling the Fission Meter Software
This section tells how to install a Fission Meter software update or reinstall the original Fission Meter software
on the Trimble Ranger.
1)
Power on both the Ranger and the host computer, and connect them via USB.
2)
Once the Windows Mobile Device Center partnership has been confirmed (see Section 1.4), mount the
Fission Meter software CD on the host computer. If the disk does not autorun, navigate to the update
disk, locate the
setup.exe
file, and open it. If the Fission Meter software is already installed on the
Ranger, an “Application Already Installed” message will be displayed. Click on
Yes
to continue.
3)
At the end of the wizard, a popup message will tell you to check the Ranger to see if additional steps are
necessary to complete installation.
4)
On the Ranger, a dialog similar to Figure 38 will open. Tap
OK
to display the dialog shown in Figure 39.
We recommend that you install the program software on the
Device
. Tap
Install
; a progress bar will track
the process.
5)
When upgrade/reinstallation is complete, you will be instructed to restart the Ranger. Tap
Ok
