APPENDIX A. MAINTENANCE

1)
From the Fission Meter Spare Parts Kit (P/N 1109403), retrieve the following:
•
Latex gloves (P/N 803974).
•
Humidity indicator removal tool (P/N 1109255).
•
Desiccant (P/N 1109406).
•
Replacement cap washer (P/N 1109444) as needed.
•
1/2-inch box-end wrench.

Put on gloves.

Using the removal tool, loosen the indicator from the Fission Meter enclosure by turning it
counterclockwise, as shown in Figure 30. If needed, use the box-end wrench to start the removal process;
position it on the flats at the end of the removal tool.

Once the indicator turns by hand, slowly unscrew it, then gently pull it out of the enclosure as shown in
Figure 31.

With the face of the indicator pointing up unscrew the cap from the body as shown in Figure 32. Be
careful not to lose the metal washer in the cap (the spare parts kit includes replacements if you do).
