Steering clutch cable

If there is a lot of give in the steering clutch lever and it feels weak, or you cannot perform a
smooth turn, please adjust the steering clutch cable middle adjuster.
1.
Loosen the steering clutch cable middle adjuster’s lock
nut.
2.
Turn the adjust nut and adjust the tension on the
steering clutch cable.

If the steering clutch lever does not return well;
Turn the adjust nut in the direction of (A).
x
If the steering clutch lever does not disengage
correctly;
Turn the adjust nut in the direction of (B).
3.
Securely retighten the lock nut performing adjustment.
Adjust the steering clutch lever so that its tip has around 1/16-3/16 in of play.
Drive V-belt inspection
1.
Put the carrier in the dump position. (See page 16, How
to operate the carrier dump)
2.
Perform a visual inspection of the drive V-belt to see if it
is damaged and replace if necessary. (See page 30,
Adjusting the belt guide.)
3.
Return the carrier to its original position.( See page 16,
How to operate the carrier dump)

The drive V-belt is a consumable part. Inspect it regularly and replace with a new one if you
detect any abnormalities. Adjust at times described below.
Adjustment times…… first time: after 2-4 hours, and every 50 hours thereafter
