Place the gear shift lever in neutral.
NOTE:
Attach the c ircuit breaker lanyard to secure place on yourself, or your arm or leg. Then install the lock plate on the other end of the
lanyard into the engine stop switch.
WARNING:
•
The engine must be started in neutral otherwise damage to the starter c an occur.
•
Do not attach the lanyard to c lothing that c ould tear loose. Do not route the lanyard where it c ould bec ome entangled,
preventing it from func tioning.
•
Avoid ac cidentally pulling the lanyard during normal operation. Loss of
engine power means the loss of steering c ontrol. Also, without engine power,
the boat c ould slow rapidly. This c ould c ause people and objects in the boat to
be thrown forward.
