Expansion Module Chassis Removal and Replacement (FRU)

The entire Expansion Module is a FRU that can be removed and replace by
Oracle service.

Mailslot

The mailslot imports and exports cartridges without interfering with robot operations. It
is often referred to as a cartridge access port (CAP) in other StorageTek libraries.

The four cartridge mailslot is located above the right magazine in the Base Module.
You can use the mailslot to import or export cartridges without disrupting other library
operations.

The optional expanded mailslot configuration converts the right-side 15-slot magazine
of the Base Module into an additional mailslot. Configuring the expanded mailslot
requires library firmware version 2.25 or later.

a left and right magazine.

can use the magazine to bulk load cartridges.

The optional expanded mailslot configuration converts the right-side 15-slot magazine
of the Base Module into an additional mailslot. Configuring the expanded mailslot
requires library firmware version 2.25 or later.

Robot

The robot retrieves and inserts cartridges into the mailslot, storage cells, and tape

Within the Base Module, a bull wheel and pulley rotate to raise and lower the robot
hand, which contains a label barcode scanner and retractable grippers to grab and
release cartridges. During shipment the robot is locked at the top of the Base Module
within the Robot Module. You must unlock the robot before use.
