Location of the SSM3 Module (Mounted on Acme Packet 6300/6350)
Pre-Installation Guidelines
Please read and follow these pre-installation guidelines prior to replacing the SSM3
module:
•
The SSM3 module can be installed only in the designated location.
•
Note the installation location of the SSM3 module on the NIU PCB.
•
Ground yourself and follow proper ESD grounding procedures.
•
Remove the SSM3 from the shipped packaging.
•
Install the SSM3 according to the procedure below.
•
This upgrade should be performed during low-traffic periods or during times of
scheduled maintenance.
•
Follow industry-standard procedures to ensure ESD protection.
•
When installing or removing an NIU card, move the card to an ESD-safe location.
Note:
Before handling a Acme Packet 6300/6350 NIU card, follow the proper
ESD grounding procedures. Failure to do so could damage the NIU card
and its components.
