AWNING
girard retractable awning
GIRARD 8’ MANUALLY RETRACTABLE SUN AWNING
The OP15 Sun awning is a manually deployed 8’ sun awning designed to provide shade over the kitchen area. You will find the supplied
manual awning crank arm in the exterior slide-out bin of your OP15.
IMPORTANT: Please read before you set up your awning. Please take extreme care not to over-extend your awning as doing so may cause
the fabric to unroll from the awning and/or damage the mechanism and arms. In addition, when you are closing your awning, please take
note of the direction label on your crank handle. This will indicate which direction to turn the handle in. Do not continue to crank it in the
same direction as opening it as this will retract your awning in the wrong direction and cause damage to your awning which is not covered
under warranty.
SETTING UP YOUR AWNING
SETTING UP YOUR AWNING
TO SET-UP YOUR AWNING:
STEP 1
Ensure you have a minimum of 8’ clearance
from any nearby obstacles that may obstruct
the awning before deploying it.
STEP 2
Insert the crank arm T-fitting vertically into
the receiver located on the underside of the
awning on the right side.
STEP 3
Crank clockwise to extend the awning. Do NOT
extend the awning to its maximum extension
as this can damage the elbow joint.
STEP 4
Use the manual crank arm in the same receiv-
er as above and crank counterclockwise until
the awning is fully retracted and the crank
mechanism prevents further turning.
IMPORTANT
The awning may only be used in very light
wind and rain conditions. When periods of
moderate rain and or wind are expected the
awning must be closed. Please ensure the
awning is retracted at the first sign of wind or
rain conditions to prevent serious injury and
damage. Damage caused by wind and rain is
not covered under warranty. Never leave the
awning open and unattended.
IMPORTANT
Ensure your awning is fully retracted before
moving your OP15 for any reason. Damage
caused by failure to comply with this instruc-
tion is not covered under warranty. Damaged
caused by collisions with objects in the area in
which the awning will be deployed will not be
covered under warranty. Do NOT overextend
the awning. Ensure there is a good bend in the
extension arm at all times.

You must be connected to a source of 120v electricity via either shore power or a generator to run
the A/C unit as it will drain your batteries very quickly via the invertor.
Use the left hand dial to select the fan or cooling fan strength and use the right hand dial to select
