MANUAL INSTRUCTION

To avoid damage or hazards as a result of improper use, read 
this instruction manual carefully before operating the appliance. 
Take care to follow the safety instructions at all Times.

ImPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•     This appliance is designed for domestic use only and not 

for commercial applications. No responsibility is accepted 
for damage resulting from improper use or noncompliance 
compliance with the instructions.

•   Please  keep  these  instructions  for  future  reference.  If  the 

appliance  is  passed  to  another  person,  this  instruction 
manual should accompany it.

•   Before inserting the mains plug into the socket, check that 

the  mains  supply  voltage  and  current  rating  corresponds 
with the power supply details shown on the appliance model 
label.

•   Never allow the base or the kettle to make contact with or be 

immersed in water. However, should this happen, have the 
unit examined by a qualified service centre before using it 
again.

•   In  order  to  comply  with  safety  regulations  and  to  avoid 

hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out 
by  qualified  personnel,  including  the  replacement  of  the 
power cord. 

   If  repairs  are  needed,  please  send  the  appliance  to  our 

customer service department.

•   Do not operate the appliance if
  – the appliance or power cord show any signs of damage, 
  – the appliance has been dropped.
•  Always remove the plug from the wall socket
    – after use
    – in case of any malfunction,
    – before cleaning.
•     When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull 

on the power cord.

•   Children do not recognise that may occur when operating 

electrical  appliances.  Therefore  keep  children  away  from 
such appliances.

•   Do not attempt to remove any parts of the housing nor insert 

any metal objects into the interior of the appliance.

•     To prevent damage to the power cord, do not let it pass over 

sharp corners or edges. 

•   Do not position the appliance or power cord on or near hot 

surfaces (such as oven plates) or near open flames.

•   Do not expose the appliance to rain or moisture and do not 

operate the appliance outdoors or with wet hands.

•     The appliance operates at very high temperatures, Caution: 

there is danger of scalding form escaping water or steam. 
Do not touch any part of the kettle except the handle when 

the appliance is in use and ensure that the lid is properly 
closed.

•     This appliance is designed for heating water only. Never put 

any other liquid into the kettle.

•     When  using  the  appliance,  always  pay  attention  to  the 

water level marking  on the outside of the kettle. Do not let 
the water level drop below the minimum level and do not 
exceed the maximum level.

•     Always place the appliance on a firm and level surface.
•   If  the  supply  cord  is  damaged,  is  must  be  replaced  by 

the  manufacturer,  its  service  agent  or  similarly  qualified 
persons in order to avoid a hazard.

•     This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including 

children)  with  reduced  physical,  sensory  or  mental 
capabilities,  or  lack  of  experience  and  knowledge,  unless 
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning 
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

•   Children  should  be  supervised  to  ensure  that  they  do  not 

play with the appliance.

•   If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
•    

 Warning:

 Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.

•  The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
•  The appliance must not be immersed.

OPERATION GUIDELINES

Before using for the first time 

•   Prior to initial use, clean it by going through several boiling 

cycles,  using  clean  water  with  each  cycle  and  filling  the 
kettle to its upper marking. 

Operation

•   Place the heating base on a firm and level surface.
•   Pour the desired amount of clean water into the kettle. 
•   Position  the  kettle  in  such  a  way  on  the  base  that  the 

underside of the kettle fits precisely into the contact unit on 
the base.

•   Insert the plug into a wall socket.
•     To  start  boiling  press  the  ON/OFF  switch  to  the  down 

position.

The power indicator will illuminate and the kettle will start 
to boil. NEVER REMOVE THE LID DURING BOILING.

•     When  the  water  has  boiled  the  kettle  will  switch  off 

automatically and the power indicator will extinguish.

•     You can stop the boiling process at any time by pressing the 

switch to the OFF position.

•     After the kettle has switched off automatically, there may be 

a short delay before it can be re-boiled. This is usually no 
more than 20 seconds.
