SMARTNOSE
Battery change
Open the housing of the SmartNose. To do this, loosen the screws on both sides with a
screwdriver.
Caution: The battery must not fall out of the housing.
Disconnect the battery from the circuit board. To do this, hold down the connector lock with
your finger and carefully pull the connector off the circuit board.
Remove the empty battery from the housing.
Insert the new battery into the housing. The black cable on the battery must be routed bet-
ween the two plastic tabs.
Snap the plug back into the connector on the PCB. The plug can only be inserted with the
correct polarity.
Carefully close the SmartNose housing. The front tab of the lower part must be inserted
between the two tabs of the upper part. Ensure that no area of the cable is pinched or
squeezed.
Close the housing of the SmartNose. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws on both sides.

• The SmartNose contains electronics and a non-rechargeable battery.
• The SmartNose is not autoclavable.
Other risks
• Do not carry out any repairs on the unit!
• The battery must not be charged!
• The battery must not be short-circuited!
• The battery must not be damaged.
