Counter Types
Every single Counter of the Counter Unit can be set independently to one of the
following Counter Types:
• Circular Counter (refer to section Section 3-2-1
• Linear Counter (refer to section Section 3-2-2
Each Counter can be configured Circular or Linear Counter by giving the corre-
sponding word in DM the appropriate setting:
For Circular and Linear Counters all the functions and features of the Counter Unit
are available and configurable.
Counter Value
For all Counter Types the 32-bit Counter Value is reflected in CIO.
