OPERATION
1
To prevent loud switching noise, first switch on the connected signal source.
2
Prior to the first switching on of the subwoofer, turn down all
LEVEL
controls to the left stop position to
avoid a high volume at the beginning. Then switch on the subwoofer with the power switch. The
POWER
indicator lights up.
3
In the
SUB CONTROL
section, adjust the desired volume for the subwoofer with the
LEVEL
control
and in the
SPEAKER LEVEL
and
SPEAKER RIGHT
sections, adjust the volume for the satellite
speakers. Only turn up the controls to such an extent that the sound reproduction will not be distorted.
The
LIMIT
indicator lights up when the signal level is too high so that the level limitation will be
activated. If this indicator lights up frequently, turn down the
LEVEL
controls accordingly or reduce the
output volume of the input signal.
4
Should a turn of phase occur during the signal transmission, the phase between subwoofer signal and
satellite speaker signal can be turned by 180° with the
PHASE
selector switch.
5
If an interfering hum noise can be heard without a music signal, a ground loop may be the reason for
this. The ground lift selector switch allows for interrupting the ground loop for the line input
INPUT
and
the humming should be eliminated. For this purpose, set the selector switch to the lower position. Thus,
signal ground and housing ground are separated.
6
During the operation, please make sure that the loudspeakers always sound well. When distortions can
be heard, either the amplifier or the loudspeakers are overloaded. Overloads can quickly lead to
amplifier or speaker damage. In order to avoid damage, please reduce the volume immediately when
distortions can be heard. Always check the sound pressure level with a meter in order to keep to the
threshold.
7
After operation, set all
LEVEL
controls to the left stop position, then switch off the unit with the power
switch. The power indicator extinguishes.
