Pre-operation preparation
Checking the state of the tip protection hood
Replace the protection hood when it is worn out or deformed.
Before using, make sure to tighten the tip protection hood by turning it
in the clockwise direction.
If the tip protection hood is found to be loose, mount it correctly
following the steps in "6.2 Replacing the Tip Protection Hood" (P. 34).
The tip protection hood is an expendable item. Replace accordingly
when it is worn out or deformed.
Turning on power
Press the POWER button (
) on the main unit for 2 seconds or longer.
After pressing for 2 seconds or longer, the power indicator lights up and the power turns on.
Once the power is turned on, the light automatically lights up.
Turning off power
Press and hold the POWER button (
) on the main unit for more than 2 seconds.
The light of the power indicator goes off.

Check the remaining battery level. (See P.15)
Select the display language (initial settings). (See P.28)
Configure date and time settings (initial settings). (See P.27)
Check the illumination of the distal end. (See P.15)
Adjust white balance. (See P.26)

Secure the insertion tube to move the instrument to another location. (See

Conduct a pre-operation inspection. (See P.17)
