To adjust the carbide wear-pins on a wedge
1.
Turn off the couplant flow.
2.
Use a hexagonal key to adjust the height of the carbide wear pins on each
installed wedge. Ensure that the top of each pin is flush to the surface of the
wedge (see Figure 7-2 on page 78).

Replacing a Conventional Ultrasonic Transducer
To replace a conventional ultrasonic transducer, the assembly holding the transducer
must be removed and partially disassembled.
Carbide wear pins
The carbide wear pins must be flush with
the surface of the wedge.
