Remove the buckle assembly and chain links, if any, attached to the scanner.

Remove the main module assembly from the slide bar (see “To couple the main
module and the slide bar” on page 22).

For an easier manipulation, remove the encoder umbilical cable from the main
module (see “To install or release the encoder umbilical cable” on page 24).
