Recording images
Still images and movie images can be recorded during observation. Data can be stored on the
provided SD card.
Make use of the supplied SD card, or an SDHC card (4 to 32 GB) that is Class 6 or higher. SD
cards smaller than a capacity of 2 GB and the SDXC format (larger than 48 GB) cannot be used.
Loading an SD card
Format the SD card for recording images on the instrument before using it. For details about
formatting, refer to "SD card formatting (initialization)" (P. 27).
The following table shows the size of a single image and the approximate numbers of images that
can be recorded on an SD card.
Loading an SD card
Use your finger to pull the SD card cover lock and open the cover.
Noting the orientation of the SD card, insert it into the slot until you hear it click into place. Next,
close the SD card cover.
(An SD Card icon and the number of recordable images will be displayed for about 3 seconds.)
CAUTION
•
If the SD card does not slide smoothly into the slot, it could mean that it is not aligned correctly. Do not try
to force the card into the slot. Check its orientation.
