Disassembling the suction valve (MAJ-207)
1.
Remove the piston, complete with spring, from the main body (see Figure
7.25).
2.
Remove the piston from the spring (see Figure 7.25).
3.
Remove the valve from the main body (see Figure 7.25).

The spring, valve, main body, and piston are gray. Use the
color as a guide to distinguish these components from other
equipment.
Manual cleaning
Make sure that the items immersed in detergent solution do
not contact one another.
1.
Fill a small basin with clean water. Use a basin that is deep enough to
completely immerse all equipment.
2.
Fill a small basin with fresh detergent solution at the temperature and
concentration recommended by the detergent manufacturer. Use a basin
that is deep enough to completely immerse all equipment.
3.
Remove the biopsy valve cap, before immersing in the detergent solution
(for reusable biopsy valve (MD-495) only).
4.
Immerse other equipment in the detergent solution.
5.
Using a soft brush or clean lint-free cloth, clean the external surfaces of all
equipment in detergent solution.
