Barring Outgoing Calls
If you have a second phone in the household, you can set it up so that incoming calls
can be taken but no outgoing calls can be made This is useful when a telephone is
installed in another room from which no outgoing calls should be made

Press and hold the key for 3 seconds
SPI OFF
appears in the display

Press the key
SPI ON
appears in the display

Press the key to confirm the selection.
If you want to enable outgoing calls to be made using the currently barred
phone, select the
SPI OFF
option in Step 2 and confirm your selection by
pressing the key
Filtering Area Codes
Phone numbers are normally transmitted together with the appropriate area code As a
result, the phone number shown in the display could become confusing
If you set-up the phone to filter out the area codes, only the actual phone number of the
caller will be displayed when a local call is received

appears in the display and the first “

” flashes.

Press the

key to select the 1st digit of the area code

Press the key to confirm the entry.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 to set the remaining digits of the code
