Putting the Telephone into Operation
Your phone is comprised of a phone base and a cable-connected telephone receiver
Connect the phone base and telephone receiver to each other as described in this
chapter
Inserting the Batteries
The phone can only work when the batteries have been inserted properly The batteries
(3 x AA batteries, 1.5 V) are not included in the package supplied. Disconnect the tele-
phone connection cable from the phone base when inserting/changing the batteries

Remove the battery compartment cover from the phone base
There must be no batteries present in the recess at the top right of the bat-
tery compartment

Insert the batteries as illustrated in the battery compartment, paying attention to
correct polarity
The time and date appear in the display

Replace the battery compartment cover on the phone base The battery compart-
ment cover latches audibly in place
The batteries must be removed in the reverse sequence Change the
batteries as soon as the battery symbol lights up in the display
