MAINTENANCE 

 
 
 

 

            

 
 
 
 

CLEANING 

After each use, vacuum excess wood 
chips and saw dust.  
 
Periodically clean the inside of the 
machine for dust control. Use an air 
hose to blow out dust from motor fan 
and motor cover.  
 

PROTECTION 

Keep pulleys and belts from dirt, dust, 
oil and grease.  
 
Remove rust from the tabletop with 
WD-40 and a Scotch-Brite ™ Hand 
Pad. Keep a light coat of WD-40 on the 
table top when not in use.  
 

LUBRICATION 

In every six months, use a wire brush to 
clean dust off the trunnions, gears, 
blade elevation and fence/rail 
mechanism as shown in 

FIG. 57

 and 

apply white lithium grease or powdered 
graphite to these parts.  
 

SERVICE AND REPAIR 

A quality power tools will eventually 
require service or replacement parts 
due to regular wear and tear. To ensure 
authorized parts are used, perform the 
serving and repairing under authorized
