4.2 - MAINTENANCE
if the unit will be unused for an extended period it is recommended that you unplug or de-energize the
unit and remove the batteries from the remote control
4.2.1 - Routine maintenance
The
unit requires periodic maintenance to ensure peak performance while using the lowest energy
possible. The frequency of the required maintenance depends on the application and environment
surrounding the unit. Recommended timing below should be adjusted accordingly.
• Clean
or wash
the
air
filters
at least once per month or
every time the red LED lights
up.
• Inspect and cl
ean the
refrigerant coils
and the condensate management system
at least once per year.
• Maintenance should be performed by skilled technicians.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The installer should gather up all packing material and use a damp cloth to
remove any traces of dust
or dirt
during assembly (fig. 24).
It's also recommended to explain system
operation to the end user, show them how to remove and clean the air filters then make them familiar with
the installation and operating instructions.
4.2.2 - Condensation water drainage in case of emergency
Should the condensation disposal system get clogged or stop draining the unit stops and displays alarm
code 20 on the front panel of the unit. t o enable the unit to work temporarily until the service personnel
arrive, you can drain the water
out by following these simple instructions (fig. 45):
Before proceeding with any maintenance and cleaning,
always make sure the system has been switched off,
using the remote control, and the power supply plug
has been disconnected.

Open
the door (6) underneath the unit.
b.
remove the cap (6a) after having placed a good-sized container underneath it (at least 5 quart
capacity) to collect the water. The service technician will close the door after correcting whatever
caused the issue.
