The unit will need to periodically enter defrost mode. During this operation the unit does
not heat the room, though its internal parts remain on except for the room air fan. When
the outdoor temperature is very low, there may be a slight delay as the unit goes from
minimum to maximum speed from when the command is sent to the unit from the
remote control. Similar delays might occur on activating the swinging function of the
mobile baffle. After having turned off the unit, the internal fan runs for a brief period
before stopping, then both air flaps close.
