Such situation may arise, if you have incorrectly set the value of "Insulation
thickness" and the test item parameters such as the nominal wall thickness and the
material of the insulation casing. If such situation arises, then it is necessary to enter
the correct parameters.
It is also necessary to ensure that, before crossing the threshold, the
demagnetization process is monotonous, close to the line. There can be situations
when the signal waveform on the A-scan can become non-monotonous with a
variable component. Such example of A-scan is shown in Figure 49.
