The crystal X1 for modem RFX144V24 is three overtone and needs inductor L8 and C45 for resonation
at third harmonic 49.92MHz. The analog power and ground are decoupled from +5V and digital ground
by bead cores. Power-on reset /MRST is provided by XFC. Output of received analog signal is available
on pin SPKR and is multiplexed with signal TONE before input to audio amplifier U5. TXA2 is coupled
to SPKFONT as transmitted signal. TXA, hence the echo cancellation is made by subtracting TXA1 for
RXA.
8.2.8 Memory (Sheet 8/10)
There are 2 chips of 4 Mega bits DRAM mounted on board. SRAM of 32K bytes stores user and
system data. DRAM is backed up by only battery BT1, SRAM is backed up by both BT1 and BT2.
EPROM of 128K bits is installed on socket for various firmware versions are provided.
8.2.9 Network Interface (Sheet 9/11)
There are 4 relay drivers implemented by transistors. While power-on reset, control REALY1 and
RELAY2 are high, RELAY0 and RELAY3 are low, and all relays are at normal state.
8.2.10 Panel Interface (Sheet 10/11)
Operation panel output bus OPO[0..7], input bus OPI[0..3] and control output LEDCTL, LCDCS
supports 32-keys keyboard and 3 LEDs. LEDCTL disables LEDs during keyboard strobing in order
to prevent the dim LED glow. Also OPO[0..3] and LCDCS drive LCD module.
8.2.11 Speaker Phone (Sheet 11/11)
Speaker phone IC.U22 provides the necessary circuit to perform a voice switched, half duplex,
speaker phone function as the “HAND-FREE
”
conversation. The IC includes transmit and receive
attenuators, pre-amplifier, level detectors and background noise monitors. The voice control is
provided with 3 level by signal VOL-OTRL [0..2] while the signal SPKFONE is used to power
down/on the I.C. Transmited voice from microphone Via I.C. is coupled to TXA2 while output of
received voice is multiplexed, with signal TONE as well as MDMSPK before input to audio amplifier
U23.
