Connect Interface Cables
If pre -manufactured cables are not used cabling the BV1270SIP-OD interface may require the preparation of
line cable connectors for the terminal side of the connection and LAN cable connectors for interconnection with
LAN equipment such as routers and hubs.
The BV1270SIP-OD uses an 8-wire printed interoffice cable (4-wire and 6-wire cable can also be used).
To prepare line connectors for the BV1270SIP-OD unit:
1.
Split one end of printed interoffice cable and separate the cable into 8 individual cores.
2.
Insert cores into RJ
45
connector in accordance with the following diagram.

Use a standard RJ connector crimp tool to secure the wires in the RJ connector.
Repeat these steps for each port to be used (maximum of 4), then proceed to the procedure below, “To
connect the analog interface cables” below.
To connect the interface cables:
1.
Select a port for the connection and verify that the port numbers to be interconnected with the PBX trunk lines.
2.
Connect the prepared cable connector to RJ45 connector (1 through 4) located at the back of the BV1270SIP-
OD.
