Note
Power-Up the BV1270SIP-OD and Verify
Operation
Once all connections have been made, the BV1270SIP-OD can be set to its power-ON condition. After the unit is
powered-up, power should only be returned to the power-OFF state for installation or hardware maintenance
activities.
Also, during the power-up process, several state indicators can be viewed to assure that the unit is operating
properly.
To turn the BV1270SIP-OD power on:
1.
Check that all cables are properly connected.
2.
Plug the power cable into the power supply outlet.

To verify proper operation, observe the following during the POWER ON process.
When the power cable is plugged into the power supply outlet, check for the following indications:
•
Power, Online, Alarm, and Busy lamps light up during the initialization process.
•
The Alarm and Busy lamps turn off following initialization and the Power and Online lamps remain lit.
If the Alarm and/or Busy lamps remain lit for more than five minutes, turn the unit power OFF and contact
an authorized Oki representative.
A steady alarm lamp indicates that the built-in clock battery has been discharged and the time parameter
is no longer synchronized. This can occur if the unit is left without power for more than two months. This
condition will cease once the clock is recharged and reset. This generally takes about 10 minutes. See
Section 5.11 for the Common Maintenance Console Software clock reset procedure. IF he BV1270SIP-OD
is connected to the Ethernet network, the "Link" lamp will also light up.
Notes: Although the “Link” lamp may repeat lighting and no lighting under the
influence of magnetic field or noise, there is no problem in no lighting for several
seconds without disconnect phone call etc. When such state occurs, please keep
away BV1270SIP-OD from a noise generation source etc.
