Install Cable Restraints

After the interface cables have been installed, the supplied cable restraints should be attached so that no stress
can occur at the cable connection points. Use of restraints will prevent accidental disconnection and damage to
cables and units.

To attach cable restraints:

1.

Locate the snap band (wire tie) packaged with the BV1270SIP-OD  base unit and the cable support
bracket installed at the right side rear of the base unit. (On desktop units the bracket is attached to the unit
chassis.

2.

Form a loop in the snap band so that the cable being restrained and the cable support bracket hole are
captured.

3.

Insert the free end of the snap band through the securing notch located at the opposite end of the snap
band.

4.

Pull the snap band end through the notch until proper support is achieved.
