4.9.1 MOTOR-WHEEL /GENERATOR
The motor-wheel / generator is mounted in the rear wheel of the
bicycle. It is a sealed unit and is maintenance free.
4.9.2 BATTERY
The rechargeable Lithium-ion battery and related electronic circuitry
are mounted inside the purpose-built OHM battery container. The
lithium-ion cells are lightweight and environmentally friendly.
The battery is maintenance free, other than recharging the battery
with the supplied charger.
The Lithium-ion battery will 100% restore itself (after charge) to
approximately 500 cycles (ie. 2 years, if 100% discharged daily)
and will gradually decrease to 80% capacity during the next 500 full
cycles.
CAUTION:
The battery compartment should never be
opened, as electric shock may result. Contact your OHM dealer,
should you suspect a battery malfunction.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY CONTAINER
Installing:
With lid in open upright
position, slide the front of
container onto the bracket on
the down tube (1)
Gently push down to connect
to the ‘quick connect’ wire
receptacle (2)
Close and lock lid in place (3)
Removing:
Unlock battery container and
open lid to upright position (3)
Lift container from rear to
release from ‘quick connect’
wire receptacle (2)
Then lift to release from bracket on the down tube (1)
