OEG Pressure storage units DE / DZ
GB
Oil-feeding units may only be installed by specialised companies. These operating
instructions are exclusively intended for the technical expert.
All relevant regulations as well as the operating instructions of the boiler and burner
manufacturers are to be followed.
If the installation of an anti-siphon valve in the suction line is necessary as the maximum
oil level of the heating oil tank is above the unit, an electrically controlled solenoid valve
being used is to be connected in parallel to the integrated solenoid valve of the suction
port. The maximum connected load of 100 VA is to be considered here. When using
solenoid valves with high power consumption, a relay should be used.
Before the installation of the unit, the local power supply should be checked. Additionally,
when using three-phase current systems, make sure that the rotary field of the CEE socket
is clockwise.
Upstream each burner, a pressure control system is to be installed including at least a
pressure regulator, a pressure-balancing valve, a pre-filter with pressure-resistant filter
cup and a shut-off device.
• When wall mounting, do not completely insert the screws in the masonry. Only after
hanging the unit with the long holes, tighten the screws.
• Make sure the installation is horizontal for either wall or floor mounting.
• All pipes must be free from dirt and loose solids.
• All pipes and connections must be tight and mounted without strain.
• Do not use any hemp for sealing screw fittings.
• Before commissioning, open all shut-off devices on the suction side and close the ball
valve on the pressure side for the unit’s first-time pressure boosting.
• Insert the electrical connection plug in the socket outlet and switch on the pump control
afterwards.
• Check the motor’s rotary direction immediately (arrow on motor) when using three-pha
-
se current. If the rotary direction is false, switch the unit off immediately and change the
rotary field of the cable.
• For pressure boosting keep the enter button on the pump control pressed until the unit’s
pressure has increased to over 2.5 bar. After that, the unit continues to run on its own.
Slowly open the ball valve on the pressure side again then.
• While commissioning, the pipe at each burner must be vented.
• The shut-off devices at the pressure and vacuum gauge may only be opened for control
or adjustment and must always be kept close otherwise.
• A sufficient amount of heating oil must be provided during operation.
The pumps must not run dry.
After commissioning close the unit’s lid again.
Safety switching point in the event of oil shortage and pipe rupture:
approx. 2.0 bar
Switching point pump on:
approx. 2.5 bar
Switching point pump off
approx. 4.0 bar
Max. pump pressure (set at overflow valve of pump)
approx. 6.0 bar
