3.8.2 Open circuit test
Do not perform this test if there is any doubt about the correct operation of the unit, or if
there is a fault or breakage.
●
Act on the main switch and switch off the unit.
●
De-energise the power supply and wait for the discharging time.
●
Open the rear cover and completely disconnect the series circuit.
If the unit is equipped with a SIMALT2 device, it is possible to disconnect the series circuit
without acting on the wirings, by removing the jumpers CCR (for more information, see
document ES-MT-0113 accompanying the CUT-OUT device).
●
Energise the supply line of the unit.
●
Act on the main switch and switch on the unit.
The unit starts and stops within 0.3s after the start of the supply.
The constant current regulator inhibited the supply (STOP mode). The display shows the
message: ALARM: I<<Open Cir.
●
Act on the main switch and switch off the unit.
●
De-energise the power supply and wait for the discharging time.
●
Open the rear cover and connect the series circuit.
If the unit is equipped with a SIMALT2 device, it is possible to reconnect the series circuit
without acting on the wirings, by inserting the jumpers CCR in horizontal/service position
(for more information, see document ES-MT-0113 accompanying the CUT-OUT device).
●
Energise the supply line of the unit.
●
Act on the main switch and switch on the unit.
