4M: Furnace & Air Conditioning
4M1: Air Conditioning
The boat is equipped with an electric Cruisair Air
Conditioning and Heating System including three
compressors. Its outlets are located throughout the boat
controlled by a thermostats throughout the boat.
If you are connected to 30amp shore power, you
will be abel to run only two units at the same time.
Reminders:
(1) Breakers in the AC Breaker
Panel at the lower helm must be on for operation of the
system. (2) The “Aircon Pump” breaker must
always
be on for
any air conditioning to be used! (3) You must have either
shorepower connected to 50-amp service, or at least the
9
kW
generator must be running, plus the A/C compressor switches
for the areas you wish to heat or cool also “on”. (4) In the event
an air conditioning pump fails, there is a backup selected by the
switch (see photo to right).
Be careful if using a shore power
connection not to overload it!
Once running, the air conditioners' settings allows them
to heat or cool the vessel, and the thermostats will cycle them
on as needed.
The air conditioning control panels are in each area and
control that area’s temperatures:
The red dot/white dot button
Turns this area on
or off.
The fan blades symbol button
Regulates fan speed.
The red/green thermometers
Control the temperatures as
follows:
Red
is the temperature
that heat will maintain;
Green
is
the temperature that cooling will
maintain.
Air Conditioning Control.
The two identical air conditioning cooling pumps and
sea strainers are on each side of the E/R bilge flooring.
This is the port one.
The A/C Pump Selector Switch
on the panel to right of the helm.
(Toggle switches: See 4G6.)
