This symbol indicates that in EU countries product components
must be separated and properly disposed off at the end of product
life. The black bar shows that the regulation enters into force at
midnight on 13 August, 2005. Directive: Directive/2002/96/EC.

The "Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP)", applicable
in the People's Republic of China, amounts to 20 years for the
printing system.
Through this EPUP, consumables and expendables are not
recorded according to regulations, the liability for defects is not
affected and no special written guarantee is given for the printing
system.
