Advice on microwave cooking
With the microwave oven you have the opportunity to cook exciting food and
dishes quickly and easily. In the following you will find a number of different
recipes for dishes which can be tried out while getting familiar with the oven and
all its options and features.
All cooking times in our recipes are based on 800 Watts and are approximate,
depending on e.g.:
The thickness of the container
The texture of the raw materials
The freshness of the raw materials
Fresh or frozen raw materials
The thickness of the raw materials
Furthermore, we refer to the conversion table on the last page of the manual
which can be used for recipes intended for microwave ovens with a lower or
higher effect.
When cooking in the microwave oven, it is always a good idea to check the
food from time to time during cooking. We also recommend that you start with
a cooking time shorter than given in the recipes in order to prevent the food
from overcooking. You can open the oven door during cooking – the oven stops
automatically when the oven door is opened, and restarts easily. Read more
about this in the instruction manual. We recommend that you try your way.
When defrosting it is a good idea to allow the meat to rest after defrosting and to
turn over the meat when half the defrosting time has elapsed.
The size of the container used in the microwave oven should match the amount
of food. So, do not use too large containers, but use containers with rather tall
sides.
Vegetables must be of uniform size. If some vegetables are considerably larger
than others, the cooking time for these vegetables must be expected to be longer.
If the microwave oven has a grill function, and the grill function is used for
browning the food, a grill time longer than in a conventional oven must be
expected.
Always use oven gloves when removing a container from the oven as the heat
