2. Make sure the opening of the vacuum bag is clean, dry and free from
folds.
3. Place the vacuum bag opening over the sealing unit and down in the
vacuum duct. Make sure that the air intake is not covered by the vacuum
bag.
4. Close the lid and press the handle down until you hear a clicking sound.
5. Select sealing time depending on vacuum packing: select “Dry” for dry
contents and “Moist” for delicate/moist contents using the MODE button.
6. Press the VAC&SEAL button, the signal lamp lights up and the vacuum
process begins. When the vacuum process is complete, the device will
seal the bag and the SEAL lamp will light up. When the sealing process is
complete, the light turns off, except the Dry or Moist lamp.
Note: This device achieves a very high vacuum pressure during the
vacuum packing process. To keep delicate contents from begin ruined
by the high pressure, keep an eye on the vacuum bag and press the
SEAL button if you want to stop the process earlier. The device then
stops pumping and begins sealing the vacuum bag.
7. Lift the handle and open the cover of the device. Remove the bag with the
vacuum packed contents.
8. Dry off any liquid and particles in the vacuum duct after each vacuum
packing process.
9. Be sure that no liquid is sucked into the device. Damage arising from this
is not covered by the right of return.
Pulse function
This function is used mainly for vacuum packing when a small vacuum force
is desired, such as for tomatoes, crisps or the like. Or when vacuum packing
moist produce or sauces when one wants to remove only a little air from the
bag and then stop the process before the liquid is compressed.
Then press the PULSE button repeatedly until the desired result is reached.
Then seal the bag by pushing the SEAL button. When the light goes out, the
bag is sealed.
After use, unplug the device from the wall socket. DO NOT close the
handle of the device, as this prevents the gaskets from deforming, which
may affect the operation of the device.
Thawing and heating of vacuum packed contents in vacuum bags
The vacuum bags from OBH Nordica can be used in a microwave oven and
can also be simmered in water.
