Additional installation instructions:
To obtain the best possible performance of the Aqua-Oxy pond aerator, keep the
air hoses as short as possible. Only use the hoses (10m) and flow stones
supplied with the device.
Regulating the air quantity
Adjust the air quantity with the regulating valves, if for example when placing
the flow stones at different depths, the deeper positioned flow stone requires
a greater quantity of water than the higher positioned flow stone, occasioned
by the counter-pressure of the water.
7.0 Maintenance/Cleaning
-
Follow
the
safety instructions
(chap. 4.0).
-
If the performance decreases
clean the air intake openings in the floor
of the housing
of the membrane pump.
-
Keep the
holes
in the lower part of the housing free so that possibly
accumulating
water condensation
can drain without obstruction.
-
Keep
the Aqua-Oxy pond aerator
free of leaves
.
7.1 Membrane replacement
Even for prescribed use the membranes are subject to wear and must be replaced
from time to time. Always replace the membranes as a set, left and right.
-
Unplug
the
power plug
from the outlet.
-
Open
the
upper part of the housing
by loosening the three Philips head
screws on the underside.
-
When
removing
the upper part of the housing (Fig. 1) with the rubber seal,
ensure that the connecting cable of the LED display does not pull off.
-
Then
open
the
metal housing
by loosening the
four screws
.
-
Remove
the
lid
of the metal housing. (Fig. 2)
-
Now
pull
the
connecting hose horizontally
on the
left and right side
off
of the
pump heads
. (Fig. 3) The hoses remain on the connections of the
sheet metal housing.
-
Remove
the
pump
from the sheet metal housing.
Ensure
that the
LED
power cable
does not
pull off
. (Fig. 4)
-
Ensure
(e.g. by marking) that the
two different pump heads
are
not
mixed up
after dismantling and subsequent reassembly.
-
Now dismantle the
left pump head
and then the
right pump head
, by
loosening the four screws. (Fig. 5)
-
Then remove each pump head.
-
Loosen
the
membrane’s centre-positioned retaining screw
. (Fig. 6)
-
Remove
the
washer
and the
large rubber disk.
-
Insert
the screwdriver in the hole that is now visible and pry out the membrane.
-
Insert
the new
membrane
. Ensure that the new membrane is inserted
correctly
(make sure that it is not deformed). (Fig. 6)
-
Position
the
swing brace
that is underneath the membrane so that it is
centred under the hole
in the membrane as best as possible. This will
simplify the subsequent insertion of the screw.
-
Replace
the large
rubber disk
and the
washer
and hand tighten the
centre-
positioned
retaining screw.
