For conductivity or resistivity controllers:
1.
Enter Calibration mode
. From measure-
ment mode, press the CAL key. Press the
▲
key to enter Security code “11”. Press
the ENTER key.
See figure
2.
Press the ENTER key
to begin calibra-
tion. The upper display will show a per-
cent value and the lower display will
show CEL (cell). The “CAL” indicator will
appear at the top of the display.
See figure
3.
Note your conductivity cell’s true cell
constant.
Example: a cell with a 1.0 cell
constant may actually be rated at 0.96.
NOTE: If you do not know your true cell
constant use calibration method 2 (see pages
20-21).
4.
Press the
▲
and
▼
keys
to match the
display reading to the exact cell constant
of your cell. Example: You have a cell
with a cell constant of 1.0. If your true cell
constant is exactly 1.0 (or exactly 0.01, 0.1
or 10), leave the display at 100%. If your
true cell constant is 0.96, adjust the
display reading to 96%. You can adjust
the cell constant from 80 to 120%.

Method 1: Using the true cell constant value
You can calibrate your meter in two ways:
• by adjusting the value of your cell constant
• by using a standard conductivity calibration solution
(or a precision resistor for resistivity controllers).
You only need to know one of these values to calibrate your controller.
If there is a error during the calibration process, the controller displays “ERR”.
If this happens, push both
▲
and
▼
(escape) to restart the calibration beginning from
step 1.
When calibrating with manual temperature compensation, the controller automatically
changes from the preset process temperature to the calibration temperature. After leav-
ing the Calibration mode, the controller switches back to process temperature (to set
the calibration temperature and the process temperature, see pages 33-34.
Accessing calibration mode
You can reach the Calibration mode in two ways:
•
From calibration mode.
From measurement mode, press the CAL key.
Press the
▲
and
▼
keys to enter Security code “11”. Press the ENTER key.
•
From advanced set up mode.
From measurement mode, press the ENTER key.
Press the
▲
and
▼
keys to enter Security code “22”. Press the ENTER key.
Press the
▲
and
▼
keys to scroll to set up mode “CAL CON”.
If you enter the Calibration mode using the CAL key, the controller will automatically
return to the Measurement mode. If you enter the Calibration mode from the Advanced
Set-up mode, the controller will return to the sub group menu.
