5.2 MEASURING UNIFORMITY
WARNING!
With the lamp properly “peaked”, i.e. warmed-up to normal operating
temperature, and operating in constant power (idle) mode, open the shutter and
measure the intensity over the entire exposure area, using a calibrated reference
cell. Record the maximum and minimum readings. To calculate intensity
variation in percent, divide the difference of the high and low readings by the sum
of the high and low readings, and then multiply by 100:
High - Low
High + Low X 100 = +% uniformity

There are hazards to personnel if the light source is on while a light source cover is
removed for service or adjustment. Clear the area of all non-essential personnel.
