9. Repeat step 8 until the desired consistency has been obtained.
10. Remove the cooking bowl from base using the handle and turning clockwise.
11. Remove the lid by turning the lid clockwise and pour the smoothie into the desired
container. The provided spatula may be used to scrape the bowl.
12. Unplug the appliance.
13. The blade can be removed by turning the white flower-shaped flange located beneath
the bowl clockwise.
14. To position the blade again, install the blade in the cooking bowl with the seal gasket’s flat side
facing upward against the blade holder part and the suction cup part facing downward. Place
the flange beneath the bowl and swivel it to the left to lock into place. Once attached, it is
normal for the blade to be slightly loose.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Clean the appliance after each use.
• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Never immerse the base unit in water or other liquid.
• The bowl, reservoir plug, flange, seal gasket, blades, cooking baskets, cooking bowl, cooking
bowl lid and spatula may be washed with a sponge in soapy water or in the dishwasher.
• Be extra careful when washing the blades, they are very sharp.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products. Never pour bleach or chemical sterilizing
solutions/tablets into the appliance. If necessary, use a damp cloth to clean the motor base.
After cleaning the blade, ensure that the seal gasket is correctly repositioned
(see pictures in “INSTALLING and REMOVING THE BLADE”).
DESCALING
• Over time, depending on the quality of the water used, a lime scale deposit may build up on
the bottom of the water reservoir. Please take the following actions:
- Ensure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
- Pour a mixture of 3.5 oz hot water + 3.5 oz white vinegar into the water reservoir.
• Leave the solution in the reservoir for approximately 30 minutes before emptying the reservoir
and wiping it with a damp cloth.
• Prior to preparing food again, follow the procedure below.
• Fill the reservoir with seven (7) oz of water (use the level 3 - “max” level scale on the side of
the cooking bowl) and set the appliance to the steam position ensuring the cooking bowl is
empty. This process should last for approximately 17 minutes.
• Do not use detergents.
