Prepare to Upgrade the Firmware  

 
With the power to the PC and XTENDEX OFF, connect a PC to the XTENDEX using the supplied 5 foot patch cable and 9DB-to-
RJ45 adapter.   Connect the patch cable to the “FIRMWARE UPGRADE” port on the Local Unit, attach the supplied DB9F-to-

2. Power ON the computer only.   Open the terminal console and apply the following settings to the terminal console for the port 
connected to the XTENDEX: 

     Baud rate:  57600 

     Data bits:  8 

     Parity:    none      

     Stop bits:   1
