Troubleshooting
This chapter provides typical solutions for problems you may encounter while
operating the NexStor 4200F Series Storage System.
General Enclosure Problems
Symptom
Reason
Solution
Fails to power on.
Power cord(s) not
connected properly.
Power not available at the
outlet.
Power switch not in the
proper position.
Faulty power cord.
Faulty power supply.
Verify that the power cord is properly
connected to the power module.
If the enclosure is plugged into a
three-hole grounded outlet, verify that
power to the outlet has not been
interrupted. This can be accomplished
by testing the outlet with a known
working appliance, like a lamp.
Be sure that the power switch is in the
“On” position, labeled with an “I.”
Replace the power cord.
Identify the failed PSU, see “Replacing
a Power Supply” on page 129.
If the enclosure is not responding,
contact your service provider.
