ISTRUZIONI D’USO
ATTENZIONE!
Le istruzioni fornite riportano informazioni atte ad essere utilizzate da
personale tecnico qualificato; esse devono sempre essere integrate
dalle leggi e normative vigenti in materia.
Le macchine elettriche rotanti presentano parti pericolose in quanto
poste sotto tensione ed in rotazione. Pertanto un uso improprio, la
carenza di manutenzione, lo scollegamento dei dispositivi di
protezione possono essere causa di gravi danni a persone o cose.
Il grado di protezione del generatore PMG dipende dalla tipologia
costruttiva: è compito del cliente adottare nel caso le misure
necessarie, nel rispetto delle normative vigenti in materia, per portare
il gruppo assemblato al grado di protezione desiderato
VERIFICHE PRELIMINARI
Al momento del ricevimento si raccomanda di esaminare l`alternatore
per controllare che non abbia subito danni durante il trasporto.
IMMAGAZZINAGGIO
Nel caso l`alternatore non venisse posto immediatamente in servizio
dovrà essere immagazzinato in luogo coperto, pulito e privo
d`umidità.
Prima della messa in servizio dopo lunghi periodi di inattività é
consigliabile verificare la resistenza di isolamento di tutti gli
avvolgimenti e verso massa: scollegare tutti i dispositivi elettronici
eventualmente associati ed effettuare la misura: con macchina a
temperatura ambiente si devono ottenere valori maggiori di 2MOhm.
Se così non fosse si rende necessario procedere all`essicazione in
forno (a circa 60º-80ºC)
ACCOPPIAMENTO MECCANICO
Far riferimento alle istruzioni a seguire.
Nel caso di realizzazione di cofanatura protettiva del gruppo
assemblato studiare accuratamente il flusso del circuito di
ventilazione al fine di garantire un adeguato raffreddamento

relative istruzioni specifiche fornite
COLLEGAMENTO ELETTRICO
Accertarsi che il carico destinato a essere alimentato dal generatore
sia compatibile con i suoi dati di targa.
Eseguire i collegamenti come da schema elettrico a seguire.
Nel caso di optional aggiuntivi (esempio: Inverter, convertitore AC/DC)
far riferimento alle relative istruzioni specifiche fornite
Prima di applicare il carico effettuare una prova di funzionamento a
vuoto e misurare le tensioni in uscita, verificando che queste
corrispondano a quanto previsto
Attenzione!: Evitare di far funzionare il gruppo ad un nr° di giri
diversi da quello nominale
INSTALLAZIONE
Installare il gruppo in un locale ben ventilato. Fare attenzione a che le
aperture di aspirazione ed espulsione dell`aria di raffreddamento
siano libere. L'alternatore deve aspirare aria pulita: è importante
evitare l'aspirazione dell'aria calda espulsa dall'alternatore stesso e/o
dal motore primo, nonché i gas di scarico del motore, polveri e
sporcizia varia.
Assemblare il gruppo nel rispetto delle indicazioni riportate nel seguito
del presente manuale
MANUTENZIONE
L`alternatore e gli eventuali accessori devono essere sempre tenuti
puliti.
Verificare periodicamente che il gruppo funzioni senza vibrazioni o
rumori anomali e che le aperture di aspirazione/esplusione aria (se
presenti) non siano ostruite

INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
The operating instructions include only the directions to be followed by
the qualified personnel; they must always be supplemented by the
relevant legal provisions and standards.
Electric rotating machines have dangerous parts: they have live and
rotating components. Therefore: improper use, inadequate inspection
and maintenance and the removal of protective covers and the
disconnection of protection devices can cause severe personal injury
or property damage.
PMG IP protection degree depends on its product type: the customer
himself has to take all the necessary expedients, respecting the
relevant provisions and standards, to classify the generator set at the
desired protection class
PRELIMINARY CHECKS
On receipt it is recommended to inspect the alternator to find out
whether it has got damages during transportation.
STORAGE
If the alternator is not installed immediately, it should be kept indoor, in
a clean and dry place.
Before starting up the alternator after long periods of inactivity or
storage, the winding insulation resistance must to be measured.
Disconnect al electronic devices connected to the PMG and check the
values: those should be higher than 2MOhm at room temperature. If
this value cannot be obtained it is necessary to reset the insulation,
drying the windings (using an oven at 60º-80º C).
MECHANICAL COUPLING
Refer to the following assembling instructions.
In case you are going to use a protective cover, you must study
carefully the ventilation flow, in order to obtain an adequate cooling

ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Make sure that the load intended to be powered is suitable with the
generator data label.
Make the electric connections as indicated in the wiring diagram that
follows.
In case of additional optionals (example: Inverter, AC/DC converter)
please refer to the related instructions provided
Before powering the load make a test in no load voltage condition, and
measure output voltages, checking they match the expected values
Warning!: do not operate the unit at a different rpm than the
nominal one
INSTALLATION
Set up the unit in a well-cooled place.
Make sure that cooling air intake and discharge openings are free and
unblocked.
The alternator must suck in clean air only: the suction of the hot air
expelled from the alternator itself and/or the prime motor must be
avoided, as well as the suction of motor exhaust fumes, dust and dirt.
Assembly the unit complying with precautions reported in this manual
on following pages
MAINTENANCE
The alternator as well as the possible accessories should always be
kept clean.
It is recommended to periodically check that the unit operates without
anomalous vibrations or noises, and that the air inlet/outlet apertures
(if any) are not obstructed
