To save with a wide acceptance band:

Set an additional unassigned DIL switch
(S2.1–6, here: S2.4) upward to ON.
The acceptance band has been widened.
Now you can set DIL switch S2.7 downward
to OFF.
The LED on the left-hand side of the coin
validator will light up once if the saving
operation has been successful and it will light up twice if there has been
an error during the saving operation.
To abort the operation, first set the DIL switch of the respective coin
channel (here: S2.3) and then S2.7 downward to OFF.

Set DIL switch (S2.1–6, here: S2.3) for the
taught coin channel downward to OFF.
The new coin type/token will now be
accepted for payment by the coin validator.

Set DIL switches S2.1–6 back to the desired position for the normal
operating mode (cp. also section "Inhibiting coins" in this chapter).
