2.3.7 Calibration
2.3.7.1. Calibration of scales
To calibrate the probe, 3 samples of material with known hardness value are required. The
hardness range should be wider than the hardness of the material that will be measured in the future
(the value should be a maximum or more, a minimum or less, and an average).

Select <CALIBRATION> from the main menu. Each table cell corresponds to a specific
calibration scale for a particular material (Figure 2.27). All calibrations can be calibrated for
any materials and any scales, and are thus separated to systematize calibration sets.

2. Use the navigation keys to select a cell for calibration, for example, HRC for steel (Figure
2.28).
