Installing the adaptors into the sliding jaws
Press the button and slide the adaptors into the sliding jaws to the
stop, as shown.
Release button; the adaptors are now locked
NOTE
•
Ensure that adaptors of a nominal width are installed.
•
Ensure that the adaptors are latched in place.
Non-observance results in damage to the sliding jaws.
Removing the adaptors from the sliding jaws
Press the button and pull the adaptor out at the same time.
3. COMMISSIONING
Insert the sliding jaws into the press tool. (See operating manual for
press tool)
Note:
Depending on the press tool and the size of the sliding jaws, the
entire press tool/sliding jaws unit is top-heavy.
4. PRESS-FITTING
4.1 Check whether the nominal width of the press fitting corresponds to
the nominal width of the sliding jaws/adaptors.
4.2 Open the sliding jaws by pressing the ball handle.
