NOTE:

If you are setting up a multi-server Synchronizer system, you should have a Summary Sheet

for each Synchronizer server. Each Synchronizer server is independent of other Synchronizer
servers, so you can set them up in whatever order is convenient given the overall configuration of
your Synchronizer system.

The following sections step you through the process of installing the Mobility Pack and configuring
a Synchronizer server.

Š

Section 2.2.1, “Performing Pre-Installation Tasks,” on page 24

Š

Section 2.2.2, “Running the Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack Installation Program,” on
page 25

Š

Section 2.2.3, “Checking the Status of the Data Synchronizer Services,” on page 27

Š

Section 2.2.4, “Checking the Status of the Connectors,” on page 28

Š

Section 2.2.5, “Managing Initial Device Synchronization,” on page 28

Š

Section 2.2.6, “Testing Your Data Synchronizer System,” on page 29

Š

Section 2.2.7, “Uninstalling the Mobility Pack,” on page 29

2.2.1  Performing Pre-Installation Tasks

1

Make sure that the Linux server where you plan to install the Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack

.

2

Make sure that the Synchronizer server has a static IP address.

3

Make sure that any firewalls between the Synchronizer server and other applications have been
configured to allow communication on the following ports:

4
