Chapter 4 RELAY7 Troubleshooting
The following procedures are simple ways to diagnose and resolve problems with the RELAY7. In
many cases, the issue can be resolved within a few minutes, avoiding the inconvenience and
loss of productivity that results from having to return the receiver for repair. This section dis-
cusses troubleshooting issues and includes cross-references to other sections of the manual that
may help resolve problems.

4.1 Error Responses to Commands
The following error responses may occur when sending commands to the RELAY7:

<ERROR:Radio must be
detected before
configuration
The SMART7 must be configured to interact with the radio on the
appropriate serial port. Issue the
SATELDETECT COM3 command
before configuration.

<ERROR:Radio could
not be controlled
The SATELCONTROL POWER ON/OFF command was issued on a
product that does not support power control.
