MACHINE BREAK-IN
Although there are no operational restrictions on the Kwik-
Pit when used for the first time, it is recommended that the
following mechanical items be checked:
A. Before starting:
1. Read the Operator’s Manual.
2. During the machines first few minutes of operation,
check conveying belt alignment to ensure preset
alignment does not vary under loaded conditions.

B. After operating or transporting for 1/2 hour:
1. Re-torque all the wheel bolts.

2. Re-torque fasteners and hardware.

3. Check that all safety decals are installed and legible.
Apply new decals if required.
4. Check the drive belt tension, and tension as required.

6. Check that all guards are installed and working as
intended.
C. After operating for 5 hours and 10 hours:
1. Re-torque all wheel bolts,

3. Check that all guards are installed, secured and func

tioning as intended. Do not operate with missing or
damaged shields.
4. Check safety decals. Install new ones if required.
5. Check the drive belt tension, and tension as required.

PRE-OPERATION CHECKLIST
(OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY)
Efficient and safe operation of the Kwik-Pit requires that each
operator reads and understands the operating procedures and
all related safety precautions outlined in this section.
A pre-operation checklist is provided for the operator. It is
important for both the personal safety and maintaining the
good mechanical condition of the Kwik-Pit that this checklist
is followed.
Before operating the Kwik-Pit and each time thereafter, the
following areas should be checked off:
1. Read the Operator’s Manual before operating.
2. Check all lubrication points and grease as instruct-
ed in the maintenance section.
3. Use recommended size tractor.

4. Be sure that tractor and machine have been properly
prepared. Check that the unit is properly attached
to the tractor Be sure there is a mechanical retainer
through the draw-bar pin and the safety chain is in

5. Check tire pressure.
6. Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, couplers, and
fittings. Tighten, repair, or replace any leaking or
damaged components.
7. Inspect, or torque all specified hardware.
