Remove and replace the fans, if necessary.
If any fan becomes inoperative, you must remove and replace it.
• Unplug the power cord. If the unit has a UPS installed, turn off power by pressing
the ON and OFF buttons on the front panel of the UPS (refer to the UPS
documentation).
• Remove the power cord from the power source.
• If the BayStack 10 Power Supply Unit is installed in an equipment rack, remove
all components such as the modules, UPS, and battery pack, before you remove
the chassis from the rack.
• Remove the fan cover and the metal screen on the right side of the unit, depending
on which fan is not operating.
Warning:
You must press the On and Off buttons simultaneously for at least
3 seconds to manually turn off the BayStack 10 PSU with the UPS module
installed.
Warning: Do not touch the fans until they have stopped moving. Injury to
fingers could result.
Caution: Be sure not to loosen the screw that attaches the fans to the fan
cover.
