2. Write the message. See "Write text," page 22.
You can insert text templates or a picture into the message. See "Templates,"
page 28. Each picture message comprises several text messages. Sending one
picture or multipart message may cost more than sending one text message.
3. To send the message, select Send , or press call.
4. Enter the recipient’s phone number. To retrieve a phone number from Contacts ,
select Find > OK .
Options
After you have written a message, select Options > Sending options and one of
the following options:
• Send to many — to send a message to several recipients. The message is sent
separately to each recipient, which may cost more than sending one message.
• Send as e-mail — to send a message as SMS e-mail. Enter the recipient’s e-mail
address, or search for it in Contacts , and select OK .
• Sending profile — to send a message using a predefined message profile, and
select a message profile.
To define a message profile, see "Text and SMS e-mail message settings,"
page 39.
Read and reply to a message or e-mail
is shown when you have received a message or an e-mail using SMS. The
blinking indicates that the message memory is full. Before you can receive
new messages, delete some of your old messages in the Inbox folder.
1. To view a new message, select Show , or to view it later, select Exit .
To read the message later, select Menu > Messages > Inbox . If more than one
message is received, select the message you want to read. indicates an
unread message.
2. While reading a message, select Options . You can select to delete, forward,
edit the message as a text message or as an SMS e-mail, move it to another
folder, or extract message details. You can also copy text from the beginning
of a message to your phone calendar as a reminder note. When reading a
picture message, you can save the picture in the
Templates folder.
3. To reply to a message, select Reply > Text message or Multimedia msg. .
When replying to an e-mail, first confirm or edit the e-mail address and
subject, then write your reply message.
4. To send the message to the displayed number, select Send > OK .
