Normal operating position

Use the phone only in its normal operating position.

Your device has an internal antenna.

Note:

 As with any other radio transmitting 

device, do not touch the antenna unnecessarily when the device is switched 
on. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the device 
to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed. Avoiding contact 
with the antenna area when operating the device optimizes the antenna 
performance and the battery life.

Change the covers

Note:

 Always switch off the power and disconnect the charger and any 

other device before removing the covers. Avoid touching electronic 
components while changing the covers. Always store and use the device 
with the covers attached.

1. Remove the back cover from the phone. See step 1 and 2 in "Install the SIM 

card and battery," page 12.

2. Beginning at the top of the phone, 

gently pull the front cover away 
from the phone (1), and detach 
the front cover (2). 

3.  To remove the key mat from the 

front cover, press it gently out (3).
